We are not a crisis service and do not work directly with people experiencing mental health crisis. We will always signpost those who are in mental health crisis on to the NHS Mental Health Teams and Suicide Crisis in Cheltenham. Click HERE for contact information in a mental health crisis.
We know that the shock and devastation experienced after suspected suicide loss, clouds all thought processing and judgement. You may not fully take in or comprehend what is being said or done.
We recognise that those left behind will experience an array of emotions and feelings. Often the circumstances of the loss will be complex and traumatic having a profound affect on their lives. There may be questions unanswered, things left unsaid and a feeling of guillt. This can often haunt those left behind as they try to make sense of what has happened.
Loss by suicide can feel isolating. It is a lonely path to walk and one which can lead people to their own feelings of sadness, depression and suicide.
We do not want you to walk this path alone. We will walk alongside you and support you on this journey.
We accept self referrals from anyone who is currently living in Gloucestershire that has been bereaved by suspected suicide.
We have supported:
We have a designated liaison officer who can make contact with those bereaved, to determine what support they may wish to receive.
We also provide training in suicide intervention and awareness. ASIST and safeTALK are both accredited through Livingworks.
Our services are only possibly because of the support of our generous donors.
We would like to thank all who have helped fund our cause in 2021.
