Stay in the sun when the sunshine is gone and you will see the sunshine lives within you

bEREAVEMENT EVENTS

Christmas card workshop. For people bereaved by suicide Facilitated by Jola Malin. An opportunity to meet with others bereaved by suicide, to make cards. Silence is okay, talking is a good accompaniment to making. And a bit of fun and laughter is always welcome. Monday afternoons in November and December 2019 starting 11th November, for 7 weeks 1pm - 2.30pm At the Sunflowers office... Art materials provided. Aim; •	To make cards by hand, or try out your own designs (to print at home) - is fun, rewarding, and much more meaningful for those who receive it. •	Led by an artist, who can give ideas, but will always encourage your own creativity to be gently inspired. •	Knowing how difficult it is to buy cards/send greetings etc when we think of what we have lost, Jola will be open to the group sharing feelings, but will gently pursue the healing nature of being creative. If you are newly bereaved it may be wise to bring a friend, as you may need more intense support than we can provide during the session. Talking and sharing often brings the emotions to the surface. The session is designed to be comfortable, safe, and enjoyable. Please note it is not a ‘therapy’ group, though shared creative activities are often of therapeutic benefit. Jola has worked as a qualified art therapist and has counselling skills - which she will employ to make a safe space. It is an open group, so you are welcome to drop in without commitment to the whole series. Please let us know if you are coming, as the spaces are limited.
